About Me
Howdy, I’m a software developer in Charlottesville Virginia. Although in the last couple of years I’ve stepped into the project manager and architect roles. Most of my experience is with Microsoft’s .NET technologies, ASP.NET, C#, LINQ, VB.NET. But I’ve also done projects in Java and PHP. I mostly use tools for creating HTML and CSS, but can manually code those too.
My most recent website is Sweet Briar College. It was implemented using Drupal, a Content Management System written in PHP. Drupal is an interesting beast, really powerful and flexible, but sometimes arcane and challenging.
I started writing software 12 years ago. Back then I was customizing ESRI’s ArcInfo GIS for utility companies – electric, gas and pipelines. I still do some ArcGIS work, just not full time anymore.
